Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding, a British artist and singer, gained notoriety in 2010 after her hit singles Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed caught public attention. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding is a distinctive soprano scream and a knack to write songs that are emotional with uplifting lyrics. Much like her predecessors Kate Bush or Imogen, she is at forefront in the world of mainstream and artistic independent music.
